So much for gloating over the exit of Chip Kelly.
Eagles fans no doubt were waiting for the deposed coach who has gotten much of the glame for the Birds' woes last year to fall on his face with the Niners.
Well, don't look now but that was Kelly's 49ers waxing the Rams in the second half of the Monday Night Football doubleheader last night.
Yes, I know. It was the Rams.
Then again, you could say the same thing about the Eagles big opening day win Sunday at the Linc. It was the Browns.
The truth is it's going to take a few weeks before we know exactly how good or bad either one of these teams is going to be.
The bad news for Eagles fans came on the injury front when it was revealed that tight end Zach Ertz, who has quickly bloomed into Carson Wentz's security blanket, suffered a rib injury and might not be available for the Monday night matchup vs. the Bears next week.
You can read all about Chip Kelly's big win in his debut vs. the Rams here.
The Eagles injury update? That's here.
And remember Sam Bradford? He didn't even play for the Vikings Sunday. The staff out there says they are not sure who will start for the Vikes in Week 2. They scored two defensive TDs to beat the Titans.
