Here's something to chew over while you're trying to figure out where you left the scraper.
Yes, that substance on your windshield this morning is frost. My dashboard thermometer checked in at a less than toasty 34 degrees this morning. One of these days I will go through with my threat to simply keep driving until I hit Key West. Call me on Memorial Day.
In the meantime, anyone else remember Terry Francona?
Yep, he used to manage the Phillies. Back then the team was a perennial loser.
But after he left Philly, 'Tito' hooked up with the Boston Red Sox, where he led the Sox to their first World Series title in years.
Now he's doing his magic with Cleveland. That's right. Our old pal is now the Indians' skipper. All they did last night was toss cold water all over that Cubs Karma with a 6-0 win in Game 1 of the World Series.
It was quite a night in Cleveland. Just up the street the LeBron James and the Cavaliers kicked off the NBA season by rolling out their championship rings and unfurling a banner in the rafters.
As for Francona, last night's win pushes his World Series record to a perfect 9-0. That includes sweeps by the Red Sox over the St. Louis Cardinals and Colorado Rockies in 2004 and 2007, respectively. Then a win in last night's opener with the Indians.
Stay warm Philly fans.
Geez, bring on Dallas.
