I hope you had a chance to read one of the best local stories we've had in a long time.
I refer to Thursday's Page One lead on the struggles of the Senkowsky family of Bethel - and how two local police officers decided to honor them.
It is not what readers might normally expect to find on our front page.
It's just a great story, reported by our police reporter Rose Quinn.
In short, Bethel Officers Justin Busam and Jay Volpone are going to honor the Senkowsky kids for the way they rallied around their mom when she was struck by a devastating medical setback.
We called it "The Big Heart of the Law."
We thought so much of what they are doing, and the story of the Senkowsky family, we decided to stress it on our editorial page as well.
