I continue to be fascinated by 'The Greatest Generation.'
That's because they never saw the need to talk about it, they just did it.
I was thinking about them again when I recently had an opportunity to go back out to my old home town and present a talk on the little store my parents ran in town. It was a soda shop, where I learned to whip up any number of frothy concoctions, including the "magic of the cherry Coke."
But it was also there where I saw first hand what made the people of that era special.
They didn't do "me." It was always about "we."
