It is one of those rites that mark the end of summer.
Parents pack up their kids - along with all their offspring's earthly possessions - and haul them all off to college.
It is a rite I cherished for many years hustling my kids up the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike to their schools.
But this year as we marked another round of 'move-in' days, I have not been able to get someone else out of my head.
I have been thinking about a woman who will not be taking part in this cherished rite as she expected.
My heart breaks for Michelle Roberson.
It's in my weekly Letter from the Editor.
