Don't pay any attention to the calendar, which tells us that Labor Day is still a week away. Or that summer actually will be with us until Sept. 22.

Don't believe it? Ask any of the kids or families in the Upper Darby School District. They are heading back to school today for the first day of classes.
This year Upper Darby supplants Ridley School District, which traditionally is the first district to return to school in the county.
There are several special events set in Upper Darby to mark the beginning of another school year.
At Stonehurst Hills Elementary School, dads and others will take part in the Million Father March, taking part with their kids in delivering them to school and committing themselves to their child's education.
