They are the lucky ones.
They are some of the 921 lives saved - brought back from the brink of an overdose death - by the miracle drug Narcan.
Last week they gathered for a very special luncheon. They were able to thank the officers and first responders who literally saved their lives with this overdose-reversing drug. But they also stood testament to just how bad the opioid crisis is - both here in Delaware County and across the nation.
More than anything else, they represented the value of a second chance.
