More snow coming Friday afternoon

We're back on the snow watch.

That's right, Winter doesn't officially arrive until next week (Dec. 21 to be exact) but we are in line for our second accumulating snow of the season this afternoon.

Once again, there is no need to panic. This is not going to be a paralyzing snow. But it will come at a bad time, arriving in mid-afternoon just in time to make roads sloppy and turn the always hectic Friday night rush hour into a mess.

Snow is expected to arrive about 3 o'clock, arriving from the west and slowly making its way across the region.

You can expect 1-3 inches, and once again it looks like South Jersey and South Delaware are likely to see the higher amounts. The National Weather Service has already issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the region from 1-9 p.m.

Here's the full forecast:

Friday: Snow likely, mainly after 3 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 32. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
