They are about to make a little history at the Delaware County Courthouse.
It's called two-party government.
That is something that has not happened since the county changed its Home Rule Charter back in the mid-'70's. Since that time no Democrat has been elected to County Council.
Until November.
That's when Brian Zidek and Kevin Madden turned Delco politics on its head by winning both seats up for grabs on County Council.
And that's not all. Democrats also swept the three county row offices.
We have an advance on the arrival of two-party government in the county.
And yes, I had a little fun with it on the front page.
Yes, New Year's is coming.
It's party time.
Or, in Delaware County, it's actually two-party time.
