Pens drop 18 goals on Flyers at Wells Fargo Center

The Flyers played three games on home ice vs. the Penguins in their opening-round Stanley Cup playoff series.

They surrendered 18 goals.

The Flyers actually had a 4-2 lead in the second period yesterday at the Wells Fargo Center and seemed on the cusp of being ready to force a Game Seven back in Pittsburgh. The the roof caved in.

Turnovers were a problem.

Again.

Sean Couturier came up big, scoring a hat trick while playing with a torn MCL.

Youngster Ivan Provorov was in the lineup despite a badly banged up shoulder.

But none of it was enough to prevent the Flyers' season from coming to an end.
