Heron's Nest: Caution, lots of flooded roads out there

Here's your word for today: Ponding.

Brace yourself, it's going to be a wet, wild commute to work.

Heavy rains have left many roads under water. Both Kelly Drive and MLK Drive in Philly were closed for awhile this morning. Kelly Drive has reopened, but the MLK is still shut down by flooding and standing water.

The problem in many areas is clogged drains leading to huge pools of water on the roads.

Here in Delco, I-95 northbound in Chester at Route 320 is an issue.

Both the Schuylkill and I-95 in the city have flooded spots.

You can get the full traffic report here.

And it's not going to get a lot better. We have rain in the forecast every day through next Tuesday. There is a flood watch in effect from 6 p.m. tonight through 6 a.m. Saturday.

Here's the full forecast.
