At 2:33 p.m. today, newsrooms across the country will observe a moment of silence one week after the deadly attack on journalists at the Capital Gazette in Annapolis, Md.
We've written much in the last week about what we do, and why we do it.
For those of you who celebrated the nation's independence yesterday, know that a lot of newspaper people were working to chronicle all those classic slices of the American experience.
We like to think journalism is a big part of that process.
We invite you to join us this afternoon at 2:33.
We will observe a moment of silence. But our voices will not be silenced. We will continue doing what we do, on July 4 - and every day.
