Marple and Concord are not the only towns on the front lines of the push to save and preserve open space and historical structures.
In Darby Borough, local historians and preservation buffs are teaming with Delaware County in efforts to preserve the historic Woodburne Mansion, which is tucked away out of sight off Providence Road.
The mansion reminds many of the White House.
The tract is part of a 30-acre gem that is currently owned by the county.
Some would like to see the mansion renovated.
The problem, as it usually is, remains the price tag.
