First came the game.
That, of course, was followed by the parade.
But until Sunday night, Eagles Nation had yet to be able to do something they have never done before.
More than 40,000 walked into Lincoln Financial Field for the first of the Birds' two open training camp sessions.
This has become something of a summer ritual since the Eagles ended their routine of holding camp at Lehigh University, which was for the most part open to the public.
They now do most of their work behind the gated environs of the Nova Care Center in South Philly.
But that is not what I am talking about.
Last night was the first time fans gathered to watch the defending Super Bowl champions go through their paces.
No, I haven't gotten tired of saying it.
All of this came the day after an army of green No. 20 jerseys descended on Canton, Ohio, to salute one of the Eagles all-time greats as Brian Dawkins was enshrined in the NFL Hall of Fame.
And just a few hours before, across the street, new addition Asdrubal Cabrera launched an eighth-inning two-run homer to lift the Phillies to their fifth straight win and a four-game sweep of the Marlins.
Yeah, things are good in Philly sports.
