That guy with the president is from Delco

Yesterday we noted the Delaware County connection to the Flight 92 Memorial Park in Shanksville, where that doomed jetliner slammed into the earth on Sept. 11, 2001. The 40 passengers and crew had decided to take back the jet from hijackers, thus thwarting their plot to use it as a flying bomb and fly it into the White House or Capitol in Washington, D.C.

The superintendent of the Flight 93 Memorial Park is a Delaware County native. Actually, Stephen Clark is superintendent of all the national parks in western Pennsylvania. The Flight 93 Memorial is just one of them.

So naturally I was interested to see if Steve would be there for Monday's special ceremony at the park attended by President Donald Trump.

You think so?

That's Steve leading the president, First Lady Melania Trump and Gov. Tom Wolf into the ceremony in this AP photo.

The day also marked the official debut of the Tower of Voices, a 93-foot-high tower that will use 40 chimes to note the 40 braves lives lost that day.

Well done, Steve.
