On our front page we called it "The Last Alarm."
What it amounted to was a final salute to a guy who served his community for more than three decades.
You don't have to take our word for it.
Just listen to the men and women who worked for him.
Bob Reeder was the longtime chief of EMS services for the Crozer Chester Medical Center.
Last Saturday, on what was supposed to be his day off, he was working a charity event at Talen Energy Stadium in Chester. He collapsed and died of a massive heart attack.
His loss leaves a gaping hole in the county emergency services community.
Reeder was a father of four and grandfather of three.
He was also a beloved co-worker and boss.
Chief Bob Reeder will be laid to rest today.
Fittingly enough, he will be carried to his final resting spot in a vehicle he was very familiar with - the Medic 82 Crozer Ambulance.
A most fitting final salute.
Rest well, chief.
