Blue Wave rolls over Delco

Local Republican leaders believe they know where to look as they begin to dissect Tuesday's disastrous midterm elections.

This comes after they lost a U.S. House seat, and more stunningly suffered setbacks in both state Senate and Pa. House races.

Popular GOP incumbents, Sen. Tom McGarrigle and Rep. Jamie Santora, were among those cast out of office by voters.

The GOP brass are looking at the top for the reason for their losses.

Not party Chairman Andy Reilly.

They believe the midterm was a referendum on the first two years of Donald Trump's presidency.

The result? A huge turnout, with women and others mobilized to register their dislike for the president's policies.

Their voices were heard loud and clear here in Delaware County.

And that meant a decided thumb's down for the GOP.
