As Pennsylvania went to the polls Monday, there were exactly zero women in our Congressional delegation in Washington, D.C.
Today there are four, including Democrat Mary Gay Scanlon, who will represent Delaware County in the newly constructed 5th Congressional District.
She won't be alone.
Three other women Democrats from Chester and Montgomery counties also won seats in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Just call them the Fab Four.
Fab probably does not describe the reaction among Delco Republican leaders to Tuesday's vote. Drab might be a better adjective. The local GOP had a very bad night.
