St. NIck delivers another Christmas miracle

How quickly we forget.

Welcome to St. Nick, the Sequel.

Even Hollywood would reject this script as being too far-fetched.

Almost a year to the week that Nick Foles walked onto the field of the L.A. Coliseum to save the Eagles season after Carson Wentz went down with a knee injury, jolly old St. Nick was at it again.

Foles was back under center last night in L.A. to face the high-flying Rams in a game that no one believed the Eagles had a prayer of winning. They may not have had a prayer, but they may have had something better.

St. Nick.

Foles went 24 of 31 as the Eagles rediscovered receivers not named Zach Ertz to lead the Birds to a most improbably upset. In the process he breathed new life into what was looking a near impossibility - that this Eagles team would get the opportunity to defend its lone Super Bowl title in the playoffs.

They are still a long shot. They need to win both of their final two games - starting next Sunday at the Linc vs. the Texans - and get some help.

But their chances look a lot brighter than they did Sunday morning.

And they have St. Nick to thank for it.

It's a Christmas miracle.

Another one.
