Some in the community have questioned why the newspaper has not been more forceful in its response to several troubling, racial incidents involving young people in the Wallingford-Swarthmore community.
Not anymore.
Some images were shared on social media of a couple of people dressed in white hoods, conjuring up evil memories of the worst of our racial past in the Ku Klux Klan.
Then letters fairly dripping with hateful, racial invective were delivered to several homes in the community.
Incredibly, some people believe the entire incident has been overblown, something created by the media.
We do not share that belief.
Instead, we condemn it.
And we urge the community to rally together, as they showed they can during a community meeting last week, in unity against hate.
