A new vibe in Chester

This newspaper often gets accused of going out of its way to portray the city of Chester in a bad light.

It's an assessment I don't agree with, and today I have some more evidence.

There is a new "vibe" in the city, and it's being provided by a home remodeling company.

Monday we profiled the expansion of Power Home Remodeling, which now occupies several floors in the majestically restored old PECO Power Station building in the Wharf at Rivertown.

The new, glass-encased fifth floor includes a spectacular view of the city's waterfront, along with the Commodore Barry Bridge and Talen Energy Stadium.

But there is more going on here than just business.

Power Home Remodeling has embraced the city, getting involved in community projects and becoming part of the renaissance taking part in Chester.

We talk about it on today's editorial page.
