Delco Council wades back into Mariner East controversy

Just a day after a butane leak at the Marcus Hook Industrial Complex raised new concerns, Delaware County Council is again wading into the controversial Mariner East pipeline project.

The butane leak - actually two of them, one Monday morning and another later that night - were quickly "contained," according to the borough. No one was hurt.

But it raised more questions about the project.

At their regular weekly meeting, Delaware County Council voted to ask the county solicitor to intervene in a complaint that has been filed by seven residents with the Public Utility Commission.v All of this simply reinforces the two scariest words about this project.

They are two words no one has a good answer for.

What if?

We talk about it on today's editorial page.
