In fact, the truth is, amid the wave of staff reductions that have rocked the industry, photographers are fast becoming something of a rare breed.
Photos happen to be very important to us, maybe even more so than many other newspapers.
We create our front and back pages every day usually around a single image and headline.

All that is nice, but nothing tells me more about the game that the shot by Pete Bannan that graces the Back Page of today's Daily Times.
