I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this is probably not the response the residents of Clifton Heights were looking for when they demanded more representation on the Upper Darby School Board.
The borough and district had a "gentleman's agreement" that the borough would have one representative on the board dating back to the time when Clifton was merged into the district.
But the borough has been without a member since their duly elected representative, Ron Berry, lost an election.
With the district pushing to build a new middle school on the borough's only open, green space - its beloved Springfield Road athletic fields - Clifton residents suddenly are feeling left out of the decision-making process.
They presented two demands to the Upper Darby board - a representative on the board, and an environmental study on the site.
It's now pretty clear that if they want a representative on the board they will have to do it the old-fashioned way - at the voting booth.
You can get the details here.
