It is the one high school football game contested each year in Delaware County in which there are no losers.
It is the annual Hero Bowl, featuring the best high school football players in the county in a contest that benefits the children of police officers, firefighters and emergency medical personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
All proceeds from the game to to the Hero Scholarship Fund of Delaware County.
There were numerous examples of the close ties of law enforcement to this game.
