Mary Gay Scanlon is having a moment.
Actually, several of them.
The freshman member of Congress earlier this week became one of the first members of Congress to urge the start of an impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump.
The last straw for Scanlon, a member of the House Judiciary Committee, was former White House counsel Don McGahn's decision - at the president's urging - to stiff the panel and their subpoena.
The move rocketed Scanlon into the national spotlight and appearances on several national cable outlets.
Then came news that a House panel was backing Scanlon's call to fight the Army's decision to delay a massive upgrade project for Boeing's Chinook fleet. All that is on the line in this battle is thousands of jobs at Boeing' Ridley plant.
Finally, Scanlon will be back on her home turf today. And she won't be alone.
The freshman legislator is bringing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who has spent much of the last two days trading barbs with President Trump, to Delaware County Community College for an education forum.
We'll be there to tell you how it goes.
