No Brown-Out: Sixers coach coming back for another year

That didn't take long.

Brett Brown is coming back for another year coaching the Sixers.

ESPN reported it last night, saying they got the word from Sixers owner Josh Harris.

It comes after several players, most notably Joel Embiid and Jimmy Butler, had their coach's back during their exit interviews Monday, just a few hours after that agonizing last-second loss in Game 7 to the Raptors.

Despite all the conjecture that Brown had to at least get to the Eastern Conference finals to keep his job, that does not appear to be the case.

And it is not sitting all that well with the Brown haters, if you put any stock in the fans' mood - at least those calling sports talk radio.

What made Harris, who was pretty clear that about what Brown needed to do to keep his job, saying another early playoff exit would be "problematic," change his mind?

We should find out today when Brown and Harris meet the press.
