The days of the Republican Party and their overwhelming edge in voter registration are over.
With a primary election looming just a couple weeks away, Delaware County Democrats are expanding their margin.
What does it mean? It means you can likely look for Democrats to push to expand on their recent wins in key county races.
Come November three more seats on County Council will be up for grabs? Can Democrats actually seize control of county government after having no representative for decades? Dems won both seats up for grabs in the last election, along with a sweep of county row offices.
The race for district attorney also will be on the ballot, as well as several seats on the county Court of Common Please.
For decades, the powerful Delaware County GOP ruled the courthouse courtesy of their ironclad edge in voter registration.
Now the shoe could be on the other foot.

In the meantime, there appears to be some progress in modernizing the way Pennsylvania votes.
The idea is to get more people involved.
That certainly would come in handy as we approach the primary, which is routinely ignored by most voters.
What to do?
Well, for starters, the state could allow Independent voters to take part in the primary.
