Phil Martelli was not out of coaching for long.
The longtime Media resident has a new gig - as an assistant coach.
At Michigan.
Does that sound weird to anyone else.
Good for Phil.
After being unceremoniously shown the door after devoting his life to the Saint Joe's hoops program, it's not a surprise that Martelli would get another offer. He will assist former Michigan star Juwan Howard with the Wolverines program.
But it just seems very weird to hear Martelli's name associated with something other than Philly basketball.
