It is a rite of passage.
And one that the local community newspaper should cover.
In other words, we are entering into the graduation season here in Delco.
Once again this year, we will strive to offer coverage to every graduating class in every school in the county.
It gets more difficult every year.
The number of schools does not change.
The number of people we have available to cover them does.
Making things more problematic, there are days when as many as four Delco high schools all will graduate on the same day.
That's why once again this year I am asking schools, students and families to join in the effort and help us in our quest to honor the Class of 2019.
If you have pictures, email them to editor@delcotimes.com.
These features will rely heavily on photos, so the more the merrier.
School districts, if you are going to have a photographer at your event, please consider sharing your photos with us. Again reach out to me via email and we will let you know how to best get us your imagees.
We will feature them - at least some of them - in print, both with stories and in our Page 2 Focus on Delco feature.
We also will set up a gallery of photos online to run all the photos we receive.
We kick things off Tuesday with commencement exercises for both Cardinal O'Hara and Archbishop Carroll.
Don't say we didn't make the offer.
If you want your commencement covered, make sure you get us some photos.
