We hate to say we told you so, but we told you so.
All that talk about raising the minimum wage in Pennsylvania?
It appears to be just that, a lot of hot air.
The state House yesterday passed a spending plan that does not include any increase in Pennsylvania's paltry $7.25 minimum wage. The measure now will be taken up by the Senate.
Don't look for any breakthrough there either.
Remember, while Democrat Gov. Tom Wolf and others have urged an increase in the state's minimum wage, the House and Senate remain firmly in the hands of the GOP.
And despite some early indications that they would consider a boost in the minimum wage, it doesn't look like it's going to happen in this budget.
