The stuff is about to hit the fan at DELCORA

Don't think for a minute that you've heard the last of that $276 million deal in which DELCORA, the county's wastewater agency, will merge with utility giant Aqua Pennsylvania.

The trio of Democrats running for those three seats up for grabs on County Council in November are not even a little bit happy at what they are blasting as a "rigged," inside deal set up by a board run by "Republican insiders."

So they will be up and at 'em at the early hour of 8:30 a.m., holding a press conference outside the Chester headquarters of the Delaware County Regional Water Quality Control Authority in Chester. They will be joined by the two Democrats currently sitting on Council, Brian Zidek and Kevin Madden.

They insist that despite the rate stabilization plan that the DELCORA brass is touting as part of the merger plan, rate payers will be on the hook for big hikes in the future when that plan expires.

We'll be there to tell you what happens.
