New life for a Delco icon

Say goodbye to Barnaby's - at least the one on MacDade Boulevard.

Say hello to The Ridley House.

The longtime popular watering hole closed its doors back in April, although the attached Heritage Ballrooms facility has continued operations.

First there was a proposal by a local church to buy the facility. That did not sit especially well with some neighbors and was rejected by township zoners.

Then there was a proposal for another nightspot/restaurant. But that never materialized.

Now it looks like the local icon will have new life as The Ridley House, and it is being backed by the same folks who are redoing the legendary Towne House in Media.
