Phils have yet to throw a net around manager situation

The Phillies have made a decision.

They're extending the netting at Citizens Bank Park.

What, you thought they had made up their mind on the fate of manager Gabe Kapler?

Not yet.

Also no word on what will become of GM Matt Klentak or President Andy MacPhail.

So we wait.

The new netting will extend the current 8-foot-high sections that currently stop at the end of the dugouts farther down the outfield foul lines. The team first indicated the netting would be extended all the way to the foul pole, but later amended that to indicate they are still working the logistics of just how far it will be extended.

It will be in place for the start of the 2020 season.

Who will be sitting in the skipper's seat when the team returns to Citizens Bank Park is still to be decided.

Look for something to happen today.

Oh, and just in case you missed it. Bryce Harper's old team, the Nationals, won their NL Wild Card game last night, topping the Brewers. They advance to face the Dodgers.
