Road Warriors: Nats have a chance to make some history

Since my two children now live in the greater D.C. area, I've become something of a closet Nationals fan.

And tonight, the Nats have a chance to make history.

Yes, they could win their first World Series in the franchise's history.

But even odder, if they do, they will become the first team to do so by winning all four of its games on the road.

That's right, the Nats opened this World Series by taking two in Houston from the Astros.

The Astros then returned the favor by coming to the nation's capital and posting three straight victories.

Last night, behind another strong effort from Stephen Strasburg, the Nats beat the Astros again to knot the Series at 3-all and force a dramatic Game 7 tonighht in Houston.

If you discern a pattern, you are correct.

The road team has won all six games in this World Series, something else that has never happened before.

Hell, D.C. could use something to cheer it up right about now.

Oh, and this reminder for Phillies fans: They're doing it without Bryce Harper.

Go Nats!
