They held the first of three debates for the candidates seeking the three seats on Delaware County Council last night at Villanova.

Republicans Jim Raith, Mike Morgan and Kelly Colvin warned voters that Democrats would raise taxes.
Democrats Monica Taylor, Christine Reuther and Elaine Paul Schaefer slammed decades of what they called corrupt Republican rule in the county.

In the meantime, there are two more debates on tap.
The six will face off Wednesday, Oct. 23 from 6-7 p.m. at Maris Grove. This debate will be open to Maris Grove residents only.
A third debate for the public will be held Friday, Oct. 25 at the Springfield Township building, from 6-7 p.m.
