At a time of bitter discord, 2 historic unions

On a day when the nation seems to be coming apart at the seams, I was struck by two things that brought people here in Delaware County together.

At first glance, the union of two volunteer fire companies in Collingdale, and three Catholic churches in the lower end of the county, might not appear to have that much in common.

I think otherwise.

They are historic.

And they reassure us of the things that are important - community first and foremost.
