Maybe we should have Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal sit down with Sixers big man Joel Embiid before every game.
After a somewhat lackluster performance in a Sixers win earlier this week, the two NBA Hall of Famers scorched the 76ers center, saying he needed to take his game to the next level.
Last night Embiid took that message to heart.
Embiid dominated in a huge Sixers win over the Celtics, dropping a season-high 38 points and 13 rebounds in a big win - in the process handing the Celtics their first loss on their home parquet floor this season.
The two Hall of Famers took Embiid to task, not because he wasn't playing well, but rather because he wasn't playing well enough. They said he needed to boost his output.
"I like when I get criticized," Embiid said after last night's big game.
