Scanlon's case for impeachment

Mary Gay Scanlon is leaving little doubt where she stands on impeachment - even if she did not get a chance to vote last night.

After 14 hours of debate, House Judiciary Chairman Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., postponed a vote until this morning.

Yeah, I had the same reaction.

If I hear one more person move to "strike the last word," I might strangle them.

Scanlon, D-5 of Swarthmore, was emphatic in her case for the impeachment of President Donald Trump.

Scanlon, in addressing the committee was succinct: She said the president turned his back on the Constitution and "betrayed the American people."

Both Scanlon and Rep. Madeleine Dean, D-4 of Montgomery County, have indicated they will vote in favor of the two articles of impeachment, alleging abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

A vote is expected this morning after the committee reconvenes at 10 a.m.

Of course, that's what thought yesterday, too.
