Never let it be said that Delco fails to respond in a time of need.
And nowhere is that more true than in Ridley Township.
Yesterday we brought you the heartbreak of a home destroyed by fire on Seventh Avenue in the Milmont Park section of the township.
Luckily, no members of the Toland family were seriously injured, but they were not able to save their rescue dog of 10 years.
The family lost everything in the blaze after being forced out of their home in the early-morning fire in their pajamas.
That's when the Ridley community rallied behind a family in need.
A GoFundMe account was set up to help the Tolands and in less than 24 hours raised more than $10,000 to get the Toland family back on their feet.
