I know what you're thinking.
You are betting that this is the happiest day in the life of the editor of the Daily Times.
After all, three Democrats will be sworn in as the three newest members of Delaware County Council, giving the Dems a once-unthinkable 5-0 majority rule on the county's ruling body.
You'd be wrong.
That's not the way it works.
I know no one is going to believe it, that this argument is just today's chapter in what seems to be our never-ending bitter partisan rhetoric.
One woman who posted a comment on Facebook actually urged a boycott of the Daily Times. And of course she used the inevitable reference to the newspaper as a "rag." That will give you a pretty good feel of what the next 11 months is going to be like.
In today's print Letter From the Editor, I try to offer my side.
It is a historic day in Delaware County politics. And a huge news story.
That is not me leaning to the Left, or emblematic of an inherent bias.
That's what we call news.
